About Riot IQ

Led by Dr. Russell T. Warne, our research team has developed the best online IQ test & platform. We are setting a new standard in online cognitive ability testing. Measure your own intelligence, or conduct studies to measure other individuals and groups. We plan to expand the RIOT platform to offer numerous other important cognitive assessments to allow researchers, psychologists, other professionals, and even the curious individual to develop full cognitive profiles on others and or themselves through simple online testing.

The RIOT test is a new comprehensive multi-subtest intelligence battery that includes innovative item types, some of which are not found in a wide variety of contemporary general mental ability tests. The RIOT battery includes a wide variety of both verbal and nonverbal content that test users would undoubtedly find interesting, fun, challenging, and imaginative.

Use cases

  • Educational Placement and Support

IQ tests can help identify students needing specialized programs (for intellectual disabilities or giftedness). However, they shouldn't be the only factor; academic performance and other assessments are also crucial.

  • Research in Cognitive Abilities

IQ data is used in research on intelligence, cognitive development, and related fields. It helps study the structure of intelligence, genetic/environmental influences, and links to other variables.

  • Diagnosis of Intellectual Disability

A low IQ (below 70) is one criterion for diagnosing intellectual disability (along with limitations in adaptive functioning). Both IQ and adaptive skills are assessed for accurate diagnosis.

  • Clinical Assessment of Cognitive Functioning

IQ tests are part of neuropsychological evaluations to assess cognitive strengths/weaknesses due to brain injury, stroke, dementia, etc., informing treatment and rehabilitation.
